What does a MEC Sales Representative do?

MEC Sales Representatives typically to create new client leads and opportunities, follow up on leads, answer client questions, generate proposal documents and meet sales quotas. Their job is to maintain relationships with clients and business partners to develop on going relationships and assist with upcoming environmental service need as related to facility maintenance, construction and renovations.

Sales Representative duties and responsibilities

The main responsibilities of a Sales Representative revolve around the ability to network, build relationships with clients and persuade others to purchase products & services. There is a wide range of duties in this position, including to:

  • Be knowledgeable about the products, services and providing valuable insight and information to clients.
  • Identify prospective clients, lead generation and conversion
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs and upcoming construction proejcts.
  • Emphasize the features and benefits of products to highlight how they solve client problems
  • Answer questions about the products
  • Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
  • Maintain contact lists and follow up with clients to continue relationships

The job of a MEC Sales Representative is personal and collaborative, requiring the following skills:

MEC Sales Representative Personality Profile

MEC is looking to onboard a specific personality to its Sales team. MEC provides an industry high standard of communication and operation when it comes to client expectations.  Prior to hiring MEC will provide a free personality assessment to ensure proper alignment with our teams vision, mission and core values.

MEC Sales Representative Daily Functions:

  • Outbound phone calls to existing clients and new prospective clients.
  • Distributing marketing materials via mail, email, and digital distribution channels.
  • Daily reporting in CRM database
  • Drafting and issuing client service agreements and proposals
  • Drafting and distributing project forms related to services sold
  • Providing client updates regarding project statuses
  • Providing billing updates to the billing and accounts payable team.
  • Client follow up on outstanding invoices and receivables.

MEC Sales Representative Education

–       Sales Representatives only need a high school diploma or GED.

  • College and or bachelors degrees are welcomed.

Training

  • All sales training will be provided by Sales Team Leader.
  • Training will consist of:
  • Sales skill training
    • CRM training
    • MEC Brand House Training
    • MEC Products & Services Training
    • Systems, Processes and Procedures

MEC Sales Representative Compensation

  • MEC Sales representatives will be paid on a salary agreement, earn commisions for all sales, and eligible for performance bonuses.
  • MEC Sales Representatives will receive access to MEC branding, marketing material and social content and distribution to help aid to sales influence, exposure and conversions.

MEC Sales Representative work schedule:

  • Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm
  • Flexible work schedules are available upon request and agreement with the president and sales team leader.
  • Flexible work schedule is dependent on honesty and production within the sales role.

What does a MEC Project Manager Do?

MEC Project Manager typically spends most of their scheduled time in the field managing various types of MEC Projects ange from Asbestos, Indoor Air Quality, Lead, Industrial Hygiene and Mold inspections and sampling, to abatement & remediation projects.

While in the field MEC Project Managers will have the freedom and expectations to communicate with the Client & onsite personnel, to coordinate with the abatement contractor supervisor to ensure project safety, maintain all related all rules & regulations and deliver successful and on schedule projects.

MEC equips its Project Managers with the technology to effectively communicate with MEC staff and complete project documentation and summaries in form of project logs and reports and be expected to submit their final field reports after in-field completion.

Construction Manager duties & responsibilities

Aside from the primary duty of overseeing a environmental project, a MEC Project Manager will have other duties and responsibilities as well. Some of these duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Keep daily project employee logs and collect all worker paper work, submittals and licenses.
  • Ensure that the Environmental project complies with all safety and building regulations.
  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of the project’s scope of work to ensure understanding and be able to clearly communicate to Ownership and the Contracors Supervisor.
  • Establish risk factors, then manage and mitigate them to ensure the abatement and construction goes on smoothly.
  • Work closely with Architects, Engineers and Ownership to establish the requirements for the construction.
  • Prepare reports on the project
  • Perform Material and Air Sampling as needed.

MEC Project Manager skills & qualifications

  • 2+ Years of Construction experience
  • Military Service is Highly Welcomed.

MEC Project Manager Daily Functions:

  • Attending daily Team Huddle through virtual meeting platform with all of MEC Staff
  • Meet with onsite supervisor to discuss and confirm the daily work plan and expectations
  • Complete all daily paperwork
  • Collect and inspect all contractor paperwork
  • Perform any and all material and air sampling needed
  • Attend any onsite construction meetings as scheduled and record meeting minutes

 

MEC Project Manager Education & Experience

  • 2+ Years of Construction Experience
  • Military Service is Highly Valued and Welcomed Highly Advatageous but not required
  • Associates Degree (Minimum)
  • IDPH Licenses (Asbestos & Lead) Highly Advatageous but not required
    • Asbestos Inspector Licesense
    • Asbestos Project Manager Licenses
    • Air Sampling Professional License
    • Lead Inspector & Risk Assessor License

MEC Project Manager Training

  • MEC will provide all in field training will Sr. personnel to accrue training hours.
  • Once all necessary training hours are accrued MEC will pay for the following Licenses:
    • IDPH Asbestos Inspector Initial License
    • IDPH Asbestos Project Manager License
    • IDPH Air Sampling Professional License
    • IDPH Lead Inspector, Risk Assessor License
  • Quarterly in-person technical training lead by Technical Team Leadership
  • Weekly 1 to 1 Meetings with Field Manager
  • Onboarding training to learn and understand MEC systems, processes, procedures and expectations

MEC Project Manager Compensation

  • Project Managers will be guaranteed salary agreed upon with the President.
  • Quarterly performance-based bonuses are available for those who qualify.

MEC Project Manager typical work schedule:

  • Typical work day accounts for 8 hours onsite at the project location, with a 1 hour lunch break
  • Most shifts operating hours are 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • On occasion second shift work is needed and will be communicated as far in advance as possible.
  • MEC will pay for mileage to and from the project site.
  • When out of town work is required, MEC will pay for MEC Project Managers to stay at a hotel for the necessary duration.
