Building Inspections:

All non-destructive, lead-based paint building inspections are completed by X-Ray Fluorescent (XRF) technology or paint chip sampling. All inspections are performed by our state-licensed lead inspectors/rish assessors. Inspections can be performing on a limited or comprehensive basis. Final Reports identify the specific areas tested and document the measurement readings of any identified lead-based paint.

Project Design and Bidding:

After it is determined that lead remediation is required, MEC will identify different options and offer recommendations in your best interest for carrying out the project. We will determine the scope of the project and alternative pricing schemes that may be available, and conduct the formal bidding process on your behalf. After the contractor bids have been obtained, MEC will suggest the most responsible bidder for your project.

Project Management:

The project begins with an onsite preconstruction meeting with the owner’s representative, job superintendent, our project manager, and any other relevant parties. MEC Project Managers/Air Sampling Professionals are trained to anticipate and respond to potential conflicts. We work with contractors daily to discuss and document job specifics in order to ensure the job is done according to your needs and to the applicable government regulations.
MEC representatives are onsite to observe all project activities throughout the lead remediation and conduct air monitoring and final air quality testing. At the end of the project, MEC will prepare a final project log consisting of all project observations, air sampling and air quality testing results, licenses, waste manifests, and any other pertinent project specific documentation.
