Professional Experience

Mr. Mellecker has nearly three decades of leadership experience in the environmental industry. He established Midwest Environmental Consulting Services, Inc. in 1994. As owner and CEO, he has shaped the strategic direction of the company and created a vision for our long-term success. Mr. Mellecker has taken the company from a one-man, one-service organization to an award-winning, multi-service environmental consulting firm. He strives to bolster MEC as the most responsive and comprehensive company in the environmental industry.

Professional Experience

Mrs. Ward came to MEC in 2005 with an impressive background in corporate sales. As the head of our client relations department, she oversees project coordination and prospecting, as well as the continued support of existing clientele. Mrs. Ward quickly proved herself as an asset to the MEC team and has won awards during her time with the company. She aims to offer clients an experience that goes far beyond other environmental consulting firms.

Professional Experience

Mrs. Komperda joined our staff in 2005 and now wears many hats at MEC. As Manager of Business Operations, she has helped achieve a streamlined administrative process. She ensures the smooth running of MEC’s office on a day-to-day basis and manages a team of administrative staff. Mrs. Komperda maintains our office services by organizing office operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, as well as assigning and monitoring clerical functions.

Professional Experience

Mr. Szeredy has two decades of experience as an environmental consultant and industrial hygienist. He specializes in regulatory compliance, client relations, and technical support. He conducts indoor air quality assessments (IAQ), asbestos project oversight, air sampling and analysis, and assists in operations with Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software. Also, he performs lead-based paint inspections and risk assessments. His other responsibilities include mold inspections, conducting environmental and safety awareness seminars, and technical report generation and review.

Mr. Gorte has nearly two decades of experience in environmental consulting, geologic investigations, and project management. His background includes Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, Risk Assessments, groundwater and soil investigations, asbestos project designs, site inspections, and site remediation. At MEC, Mr. Gorte has worked with many prominent clients throughout the country including local government entities, national railway companies, and internationally recognized gasoline filling stations.
